Hydraulic anchor load cell

Hydraulic anchor load cells: purpose

Hydraulic anchor load cells are designed for the direct measurement of forces acting on tie rods, anchors, and support systems, providing a simple, robust, and immediate solution for in-field stress monitoring.

How it works

The sensor consists of two steel plates welded along the perimeter, with an internal cavity filled with de-aired hydraulic fluid. The applied load generates a change in fluid pressure that is directly proportional to the force acting on the system.

Measurement

Measurement can be performed using an integrated pressure gauge, allowing direct readings in kN without the need for external instrumentation, or using a pressure transducer for integration into automated data acquisition units.

Benefits

Thanks to their low sensitivity to eccentric loading, robust design, and long-term stability, hydraulic load cells represent a highly reliable solution for both temporary and permanent monitoring applications, even under harsh environmental conditions.
