Vibrating wire piezometer: how it works
The sensor operates by measuring the frequency variation of a tensioned vibrating wire connected to a pressure-sensitive diaphragm. Pressure changes acting on the diaphragm produce corresponding changes in wire tension, generating a frequency output proportional to the applied pressure.
The vibrating wire principle
The vibrating wire principle ensures excellent long-term stability, high accuracy, low susceptibility to electrical interference, and reliable signal transmission over long distances.
