Hydrostatic profiler: purpose
The hydrostatic profiler is designed to measure differential settlement and ground deformation along a horizontal alignment, enabling elevation changes to be determined over time.
How it works
The system is based on hydrostatic pressure measurements within tubing installed in the structure or ground. A high-precision pressure sensor measures the level difference between each measurement point and a reference reservoir located in stable conditions.
Measurements taken at multiple points along the alignment allow the settlement profile to be reconstructed, supporting the analysis of differential deformation and the long-term behavior of soils and structures.
