Domed jacks: construction
Domed jacks are manufactured by hermetically joining two sheets of special steel, each 1.2 mm thick, appropriately shaped using a mold and press.
Stroke
The standard maximum stroke of the jack is 25 mm. When a larger stroke is required, the simplest solution is to stack two or more jacks.
Applied force
The force applied by a flat jack depends on its effective working area. This force is given by P × S, where P is the pressure and S is the effective area of the jack, which depends on the jack expansion and the type of filling plates used. Within the stroke limits defined above, the variation in the effective area due to expansion is not significant for most applications.
Special versions
Upon request, special versions can be supplied with customized shapes, dimensions, and sealing, according to customer specifications.
