Millesimal deformometer: purpose
The millesimal deformometer is a removable high-precision and highly repeatable measuring instrument designed for the detection of deformations, displacements, and crack opening variations in structures and materials.
Construction
The instrument consists of a stainless steel bar with a defined gauge length, fitted at both ends with two conical-tipped heads: one fixed and one movable. The movable head is guided by a high-precision mechanism that ensures play-free sliding.
Measurement
Measurements are performed by placing the conical tips on previously installed reference points on the structure. Displacements are detected using a millesimal digital comparator, allowing a resolution down to 0.001 mm.
Benefits
Thanks to its ease of use, portability, and high precision, the deformometer is an ideal solution for point inspections, measurement campaigns, and experimental tests, ensuring reliable results even for extremely small variations.
